Meetings:
The ACHE South Regional Conference and LACHE teamed up for the 2009 meeting. The meeting was held April 27 - 29, 2009 in Baton Rouge at the Hilton Capitol Center. The host institution for the annual meeting was Louisiana State University A&M and the theme was Building Bridges: Exploring the Past and Discovering the Future of Continuing Education. The conference kicked off with a welcome by Dr. Jim McCoy, Vice President for Enrollment Management at LSU A&M. This was followed by the keynote presenter, Dr. Bruce Chaloux of the SREB. Tim Barfield of the Louisiana Workforce Commission served as the keynote presenter on Tuesday and Kerry Sauley of Louisiana State University providing closing remarks on Wednesday. Outstanding sessions were presented throughout the conference as well as opportunities for networking with colleagues. The University of Louisiana at Monroe hosted the LACHE Annual Meeting in Monroe, Louisiana on April 30 - May 1, 2008. The opening event included a boat ride down the bayou for dinner at the Waterfront Grill. Rhonda Jones, LACHE President-Elect, kicked off the meeting with opening remarks and an overview of the conference presentations and speakers. Topics included IWTP Grants, Successful Continuing Education Programs, Certificate Programs, SBET, and Moodle. Key speakers included Sissy Franks who spoke about "Making the Most of My Time," and Craig Spohn who provided the group with "The Cyber Innovation Center Overview." Annual Meeting - 2006 Deans and Directors Summit
Deans and Directors from around the state came together in New Orleans October 5-6, 2006 to to address LACHE specific issues that relate to the constitution and bylaws and to begin planning the 2007 annual meeting.
